Last week, two employees from Spigot’s sister-company, Eightpoint Technologies, participated in a seminar to discuss the software and product development industries as part of Nova Recruiting’s “Ask The Experts” series. The seminar focused primarily on what it’s like to work in Cayman and how to get your first job in the tech industry.

Spigot believes that it’s important for its employees to become involved and engaged within their communities. One way that our employees give back to their communities is by volunteering with programs that positively impact others’ quality of life. To help support our employees in helping out the community they live in, we have recently launched a new Employee Volunteer Program that allows Spigot employees to take paid time off for volunteering.

Web development is a quickly growing field. More and more businesses are expanding their online presence, or are moving beyond their basic websites to more capable and feature-rich web apps. Entry-level, or junior, web developers are web developers who are at an early stage in their career or those that don’t have much experience in the industry.

We’re excited for the future and what it holds for us, specifically with the advancements in technology. Here are a few sectors that we expect to see rapid growth in the 2021 and the coming decade.
