Employees from Spigot’s Sister-Company Eightpoint Technologies Featured on ‘Ask The Experts’ For Software and Product Development
Last week, two employees from Spigot’s sister-company, Eightpoint Technologies, participated in a seminar to discuss the software and product development industries as part of Nova Recruiting’s “Ask The Experts” series. The seminar focused primarily on what it’s like to work in Cayman and how to get your first job in the tech industry.
Six Spigot, Inc. employees got the awesome opportunity a few weeks ago to judge the FGCU Entrepreneurial contest. Typically, this contest is held in the Emergent Technology Institute Building in a Shark Tank format – but due to Covid, students pre-recorded their pitches and sent them to us virtually. Although we did miss being in the classroom and meeting the students face to face – we still had fun!
Spigot, Inc. is on week 11 of social distancing – and still keeping up on the virtual happy hours! Last Friday, Spigot, Inc.’s Mobile team decided to do a Pre-Memorial Day Happy Hour and play Wheel of Fortune! The show was hosted by Gameshow Gauntlet (Highly recommend) and it was a blast! Everyone hopped on Zoom at 3pm, made a drink, grabbed a few teammates and got to participate in the fun.
The first two weeks of May 2019 were a blast according to #throwbackthursday! Spigot, Inc. threw an in-office Cinco de Mayo party with a pinata filled with baby nerf guns, candy and collectible cards. Spigot, Inc. employees also got together and went bowling at Headpinz, played (and won, duh) trivia at World of Beer, had an all-company Happy Hour at WOB, ate lunch together in the office – and just participated in overall collaboration in our couch areas.
