SPE Group Got Nashty
Last week SPE Group (Spigot, Polarity Technologies, Eightpoint Technologies) and Position Mobile took on Nashville.. and Nashville won.
The trip started early morning on Tuesday for our international employees and for the rest of us, we arrived at the Nashville airport on Wednesday afternoon! We went straight to our beautiful hotel, Dream, checked in, then hit the streets for some lunch.
Later that afternoon is when the party started. We all met up at ACME Feed & Seed and had a little happy hour. For some of us, this was our first time meeting and others a long overdue hello since we haven’t been able to visit since Covid began. We had teams from Romania, Cyprus, Kansas City and even Cayman all in one place! After our happy hour ended some of us went to dinner while the others took on Broadway to see the nightlife.
Thursday morning we all woke up and had the option of doing a sightseeing tour around Nashville or the Honky Tonk tour through Broadway. On the sightseeing tour they visited the Parthenon, the Belmont Mansion and the Country Music Hall of Fame. On the Honky Tonk tour we danced our way through downtown Nashville blasting music on an open top school bus. Once both our bus tours were complete, everyone got ready for the General Jackson Showboat. We were served dinner and saw a great show that walked us through the music of the south. But the night couldn’t stop there! We all walked back to Broadway and kept the party going at Whiskey Bent Saloon… some of us shut it down!
Friday, our final day. Some of us flew home early morning but those of us who stayed went to a big buffet brunch at Church and Union. We had everything from avocado toast to French toast and biscuits and gravy. Of course mimosas were involved. It was a nice way to wrap up the trip and get to say our goodbyes before everyone went their different ways.
Overall, Nashville was a great time and we couldn't have made it without working hard to reach our goals. We have already set the next goal and thinking of locations to go to next!
