We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps System Administrator to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing tasks related to cloud infrastructure and product development operations. This role requires proactive problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to effectively supporting the product development teams.

Where You’ll Make an Impact

  • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with product architects and development teams to design cloud infrastructure that meets scalability, performance, security, and availability requirements.
  • Platform Services Management: Set up and configure cloud services such as virtual machines, containers, databases, networking components, and other resources required for application deployment.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and performance of infrastructure. 
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Vendor Management: Stay updated on the latest cloud platform features, updates, and services. Evaluate and recommend new services that align with business needs.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices for the cloud environment. Stay updated on security features and proactively address potential vulnerabilities.
  • Task Execution and Completion: Independently manage assigned tasks from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines are met. Execute tasks efficiently with minimal direct supervision, taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to infrastructure services and configuration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide technical support. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of applications with infrastructure services.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest technical developments, best practices, and industry trends while actively pursuing certifications and training opportunities to enhance skills.

Who You Are

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a role supporting agile software development teams 
  • Demonstrable experience with designing and deploying AWS Services like Elastic Compute, Storages, RDS, 
  • Have a good understanding of cybersecurity and its application to DevOps practices
  • Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing them in cloud environments
  • Ability to support multiple mobile, desktop, and web application codebases
  • Knowledge of relational databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab, Terraform, AppDynamics, Splunk, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehousing services such as AWS Redshift and GCP Big Query is a plus 
  • Experience building and deploying applications in the cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes is a plus
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages is a plus: C#, VueJS, TypeScript, C++, NodeJS, Kotlin, Swift
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus
